About Me
My name is Elizabeth Mensah, and for over three decades, my life has been anchored in Christ. Walking with Him has shaped not only my faith, but also the way I see people, healing, and hope. For the past twenty years, I have served in healthcare, and for the last eight years, I’ve dedicated myself to the field of mental health. These experiences have given me a front-row seat to the struggles people face in mind and spirit—and the breakthroughs that happen when fact and faith come together.
I believe that true transformation happens when we embrace both the wisdom of evidence-based care and the power of God’s Word. Science shows us how the mind can heal, while Scripture reminds us that the soul can be restored. Together, they open a path to lasting peace, renewal, and resilience.
My calling is to stand in the gap between mental health and spiritual growth—helping individuals and families discover that healing isn’t just possible, it’s promised. Whether through guiding parents in raising resilient children, supporting those struggling with depression and anxiety, or creating resources that combine psychology with Scripture, my mission is clear: to bring hope where there has been despair, light where there has been darkness, and Christ-centered wholeness to every heart I encounter.
Through my journey, I’ve seen how faith isn’t just belief—it’s medicine for the soul. And when paired with compassionate care, it becomes a powerful force that transforms lives from the inside out.
Our Story
As I sat across from patient after patient, I began to notice something striking. When I asked them, “What tool do you have to use when your mind tells you this?”—a question the Lord placed on my heart—not one could truly answer. They had no inner arsenal of words, no scripture in their heart, no tool to confront the lies of depression, anxiety, or trauma.
It was in that moment that the Holy Spirit inspired me to create Spirit Seedlings: a bridge between mental health and spiritual health. A way to equip every soul—parents, children, therapists, homeschoolers, and individuals—with the living Word of God as a daily tool to challenge destructive thoughts, reshape the mind, and plant seeds of hope.
Spirit Seedlings
Planting God’s Word. Transforming Minds. Renewing Hearts.
Why It Works: Evidence-Based + Scripture
God’s Word tells us
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” – Romans 12:2
Modern psychology confirms this truth. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)—the gold standard in mental health treatment—teaches that by identifying and reframing negative thought patterns, individuals can break cycles of depression and anxiety (Beck, 2011). Spirit Seedlings aligns perfectly with this principle by embedding scripture into the cognitive restructuring process, providing truth-filled replacements for distorted thoughts.
Memorization and Mental Health
Research shows that memorization strengthens neural pathways, improving focus, resilience, and the ability to override automatic negative thoughts (Bellezza, 1981; Small, 2012). When the memorized content is Scripture, the individual not only improves cognition but also anchors their identity in God’s promises.
Reframing Thoughts with Scripture
Studies on CBT demonstrate that using affirmations and new thought patterns reduces symptoms of depression and anxiety (Hofmann et al., 2012). Spirit Seedlings enhances this process by using God’s eternal affirmations—reminders of hope, peace, and victory.
Prayer and Stress Reduction
Evidence shows that prayer and meditation reduce cortisol levels and anxiety symptoms (Koenig, 2012). Each Spirit Seedling bundle pairs scripture with a prayer, offering not just mental renewal, but soul-deep calm.
The Spirit Seedlings Experience
Imagine a child memorizing, “When I am afraid, I will trust in You” (Psalm 56:3), and carrying that truth into every anxious moment.
Imagine a mother overwhelmed by stress whispering, “Cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7).
Imagine a patient battling depression recalling, “The joy of the Lord is my strength” (Nehemiah 8:10), right when their mind says otherwise.
That is the vision of Spirit Seedlings: planting God’s Word in hearts so deeply that it becomes the automatic tool when the mind attacks.
Spirit Seedlings is more than a resource—it’s a movement. It’s the call of the Holy Spirit to bring faith into therapy, scripture into homes, and healing into hearts.
Because when fact and faith come together, lives are transformed.
